Polyvinyl Butyral (PVB) is a resin made by reacting polyvinyl alcohol with butyraldehyde. It is known for its excellent adhesion, clarity, flexibility, toughness, and impact resistance, especially when bonded to glass surfaces. PVB is most widely used as an interlayer in laminated safety glass for automotive windshields and architectural applications.
